18 Months

Can William really be 18 months already?  That means he can go to Nursery at church and he's already 6 months away from being TWO!!  Where has the time gone??

Favorite fine-motor skill: putting lids on everything/putting things together.

Eating independently with a fork...the spoon is coming along.

RUNS!!

All the stuff Will brought for Gus, sweet guy.

HAD to wear his swimsuit that he found in the back of the closet.

Riding Aubree's horse at Thanksgiving.

OBSESSED with Christmas lights [as you will see in the pictures below...]
Can point to his nose and belly when you ask him where they are.

Very much likes to hit other kids [especially if they're smaller than him...super embarrassing when it happens in public with someone you don't even know].

Because of his hitting tendencies, time-out has been instituted whenever he hits.

Mini-Mozart

LOVES his shoes [especially these ones, will seek them out and ask me to put them on].

Becoming a very picky eater :( [You were right, Anne.  Dalton boys are picky eaters...].

Foods that he absolutely loves: crackers, pasta, French bread, blueberries/strawberries, apples, cucumbers, corn, beans [sometimes], pancakes, ANY cereal [true Dalton], cookies/graham crackers, chips, and cheese...basically A LOT of carbs.

Moved to a forward-facing carseat :)  Coolest day ever for him.

Met his newest cousin, Riley.

And got to spend LOTS of time with his cousins during the Thanksgiving/Christmas break.

Enjoys stickers and tape.

First time riding a train

Receptive language keeps growing -- he understands A LOT!!

Expressive language has improved.  Spontaneously will say "hiiii-ya" [see video below], "daddy", "kitty", "Gus", "on", and "up", whereas before he was just imitating us.

Figured out how to move his "car" with his legs :)

18 month stats:

Weight: 22 pounds [6th percentile]

Head Circumference: 47.8 centimeters [49th percentile]

Height: 33 inches [70th percentile]
