Tonight, Brad and I went on one last hoooo-rah date before Baby D. arrives [granted, we're going on another date tomorrow but this was like a "get-all-your-pre-parent-can't-do-with-a-kid-activities-out-as-quick-as-you-can" kind of date]. We found a great deal on tickets to a Guster, Ben Folds, and Barenaked Ladies concert held at the USANA amphitheater in West Valley. And, to make the night even better, our friends, Kelly and Jake, also were going to the concert too [but we didn't get a group picture...lame]. We hitched a ride, grabbed some dinner, and enjoyed some great music with some awesome weather. We enjoyed Guster but were all confused why Ben Folds wasn't the main act [he's one of my favorites!!]. It was fun to see him perform [what an amazing pianist, holy moly!!] but he wasn't very interactive with the crowd and only played for about 35 minutes [whereas Guster played for 45] so I was a bit disappointed. Fortunately, we were surprised with how fun Barenaked Ladies were, they did a great job as the main host and were very entertaining. Baby D. was squirming a lot through Ben Folds, stopped for Barenaked Ladies, and is now participating in a soccer match with my stomach [thus, I'm up at 1:00 am writing this blog post, he won't let me sleep...] I'm so glad Brad has similar interests in music as me and that we're able to enjoy random concerts like this together.
