12 Months

This year has flown by!  I can't believe this little one is already a whole year old.  This last month has been a pretty hard one [teething has been a killer this month...and I didn't realize he was teething his molars until they'd already come thru so I thought I was dealing with a diva...#momfail] but also one of the best ones [his little personality is coming out more and more and we LOVE it!!].  This munchkin is such a goober, we just love having him around.

First Father's Day

Loves to cover his own eyes and play Peek-A-Boo [melts our hearts every time].

Won't eat "baby" food anymore, wants to eat what we're eating.

Navigates our hands to do things [clapping, pounding, etc.].

Loves to "bonk" our heads [and sometimes the furniture] -- we haven't gotten a video of it yet but it's adorable...we'll post one soon.
Total teeth count = 9 [two new molars]

Will walk while holding onto furniture/fingers.

Has learned the magic of spitting food out if he doesn't like it.

Has also learned how to purse his lips and turn his head to avoid something he doesn't want.

Loves being tossed in the air.
Sleeps like a pro!  We're all getting great sleep at night and he is a good napper as long as we're at home.

Still fascinated with wheels and balls.

Likes to scream...for fun [nothing is going on around him].

Fascinated with lights [especially neon ones] and light fixtures [wants to touch them].

Has transitioned to whole milk :) [no more formula, waaahooooooooo!!!].

Loves to wrestle with his Dad.

My sister, Brei, took some 1-year pictures for us.  Will didn't want to go down for his nap but he wasn't as smiley as he usually is but we still got some good ones.  Enjoy our handsome little man :)  Thanks Brei!

12 Month Stats:

Length: 29.9 inches [54th percentile]

Weight: 19 pounds 5 ounces [8th percentile...we're going up!!]

Head Circumference: 46 centimeters [38th percentile]

We had a fun party to celebrate his birthday surrounded by lots of family and friends.  Before the party started, Will had already popped 75% of the balloons [and it didn't phase him at all!  I was screaming each time one popped].  He had fun with his smash cake but couldn't get past all the frosting that was on it to get to the good stuff so we had to hand-feed it to him...spoiled.

Claps, claps, and claps.  He loves to clap.

Can sign "more" when eating food.  Hasn't picked up on "all done" yet so signs "more" but then pushes our hands away if he's all done...we're getting there.

Gets very clingy/upset if we leave the room.

Maybe says "Mama" appropriately...well, he says it whenever he's mad and is looking for me but hasn't said it to my face.  But we think he knows what it means :)

Loves closing doors/cupboards.  If something is open, he finds it and closes it.
