While Anne and I were off gallivanting around the contiguous states, Brad had to come back and work. And to make it even more lonesome, I was gone for our 3-year anniversary [wife fail...fortunately, we still have a few more to celebrate]. So when I got back, we celebrated low-key style...dinner at Chili's [we were both craving their queso].
Brad devoured their ribs
We also were fortunate enough, like I mentioned before, to have Anne stay with us for the next week. While she was here she was offered the job she was hoping to get [as a counselor at an elementary school on the Island] -- definitely excited for her about that one and it was fun to be around her when she found out. This meant fun shopping trips to get clothes for her new job :) Definitely a bonus. Brad and Anne also went and hiked Adams' Canyon.
Afterwards, we hit up the Layton Surf and Swim [that was our lifesaver this summer!!]
Anne and I were also able to visit Music and the Spoken Word Sunday morning. It was amazing!! Probably one of my favorites in awhile.
We were also able to meet up with a missionary that served in the Ellsworth Branch up in Maine and got to know the Dalton's pretty well. He had some horses that he let us ride for a bit and his little sister wanted to ride with me...random, but cute.
And to send Anne home with a bang, we spent the last day with her [before she took the same red-eye flight we took to Maine] up at Bear Lake. It was beautiful!! And it didn't hurt that the Jensen and Bunker clans were also able to join us. Naturally, we had to get a jet-ski, Bear Lake tradition. Congratulations to Logan, he won the jet-ski award for the day -- he was able to toss me off.
As we were leaving to head down to Logan, there was a ginormous herd of sheep being herded on the main road. It was crazy!!
After a day at the lake, we were also fortunate enough to meet up with more of the Dalton side relatives for dinner at Firehouse [heaven's manna on earth, fo' realzz].
Gotta love the candid shots :)

Mmmmmm...phzookie...get.in.my.belly.
Anne's cousin, Steve, and wife, Corinne, and some of their family and Anne's brother, Bob, and wife Gladys Ann [not pictured] were able to meet up with us for dinner. We had a full house.
It was very very very sad having to say goodbye to Anne. We were so spoiled having her around and Gus was a little confused when his buddy was gone. We are very excited to see the whole Dalton gang again at Christmastime.
