9 Months

The Will-meister has made it thru another month.  For some reason, 9 months seems so much older to me than 8 months and has made me realize how fast he is growing up!

Will loves when there are other little people around to play with.
Introduced to a sippy cup [he's successfully used it 2 times--other than that, it's a great toy].
Now can roll from his stomach to his back any direction [although when he's upset, he seems to forget what to do].
He is VERY into playing hide-and-seek, it is the easiest thing to do to make him giggle.

Still loves books.  We love that too.
Wants to be outside/look outside every chance he gets.  He starts crying whenever we have to come in.
Ticklish [like, tickle his armpit and he giggles].
Loves cords [phone chargers, computer cords, etc.], remotes, and cell phones.

Has become quite the independent eater -- we can't hold him anymore when we give him a bottle.  He will only eat it if he's laying on the floor and holding it himself.
Speaking of bottles, no more nursing!  100% formula/solids fed now.
LOVES to be naked [or only in his diaper], cries when he has to get dressed.

Two words -- ESKIMO KISSES.  Adorable!!
Can pick up finger foods and put them in his mouth.
Wears 6-9 month clothes [some 12 month].
Wears size 3 diapers.

Loves helping me "sort" the mail.

Pushes things away when he doesn't want them.
First diaper rash.
Can move objects from one hand to the other.

Trying SOOOOOO hard to crawl.  He's getting close!
Still babbling [some variegated babbling occasionally -- oh, the SLP in me!] -- loves /b/ and /d/ sounds the best.  Occasionally throws in a /g/ and a /m/.

Gurgles when he cries [it is hilarious!!].  Or bored.  Or has spit in his mouth.
Has become very afraid of "strangers" -- aka, anyone other than Mom.
He is quite the wiggle-worm when trying to change his diaper.  One of us has to pin him and the other changes the diaper.  It's pretty difficult when I'm the only one at home... :)

9-month stats:
Length: 29.33 inches [83rd percentile -- we got a tall one!]
Weight: 16 pounds, 14 ounces [4th percentile -- we got a skinny one! Still have to calorie pack his foods].
Head Circumference: 45 centimeters [41st percentile].

Not one, not two, but THREE upper teeth all broke thru...on his 9 month birthday.  Due to these 3 teeth, he kept going from being his happy self to a miserable little boy with 104 degree fevers.  No fun.
And we finally have a birth certificate for him...9 months later :)

Life is pretty sweet with this little one.  We sure love him.
