16 Months

Another month just flew by and the Little One has grown so much!

Loves to share his toys with me...

When he doesn't feel like working on his walking, he does this elephant crawl [see video above] to get around.  Pretty ridiculous.

Watching conference [name that speaker!]

Understanding more and more words everyday [off the top of my head: kiss, ball, throw, use your words/manners (and will sign, usually "please", to express a want/thought), outside].

15 teeth [3/4 incisors are here!]

Won't sit in the front of a shopping cart anymore.

Recognizing/exploring small details on others [my earrings, facial features (e.g., eyes, ears, mouth)] and details in pictures/books [especially animals].

First haircut [before picture above, after picture below].

Gives the best open-mouthed kisses.

Loves to pull hair [my hair, Gus' hair, the kid's hair in the pew behind us at church--he has no barriers].

Mimics actions [using a screwdriver to help me with a project (don't freak out, he wasn't really using the screwdriver but imitating me), sweeping the room with the broom, etc.].

Occasionally will repeat words [but lately has been really fascinated with /m/].

Doesn't have any new words [still only consistently says "more"].

These 2 are huge!  Before, when he wanted to show us something, he would thrust his hand out [kind of like he was a king and you should kiss it] and grunt until we figured out what he was looking at.  And he could care less about books a month ago but now loves loves LOVES looking at them.  Makes this momma happy :)

With all the construction by our house and the Air Force base a mile away, he's become super fascinated with planes, trucks, and tractors.

And, as of TWO days ago [October 20th], we have an official walker!!!  Hands up and everything [see video above].

Will is at such a fun stage right now.  I am loving the time I get to spend with him.  Except for the cold he just gave his Dad and I.  Thanks, bud :)  Love this 16 month-old.
