Brad and I started feeling a little cabin fever the middle of March and decided we needed to get out of the cold and go visit Grandma down in St. George. We were lucky enough to be able to pick up cousin Mel in Cedar City on our way down and enjoy the whole weekend with her too. We arrived in St. George late on a Friday night, talked to Grandma for a few minutes, and then crashed. Saturday morning, Brad and I went for a run [so dedicated], cleaned Grandma's back porch, took Grandpa's clothes to the Catholic thrift store, bbq-ed on the smoker, and ran other random errands.
That afternoon, we kidnapped Grandma and took her on a drive through Zion's National Park. Then we locked Grandma in the car while the rest of us walked around the little town of Springdale [she was taking a nap...we weren't neglecting her, promise].
Our other cousin, Bailey, was finishing up work for the day [she has the coolest job ever, guiding hikes through the park] and was just returning from a hike. We met up for dinner with her and then kidnapped her too to take back to St. George for the rest of the trip.
Sunday, Mel and Bailey made a fantastic breakfast, we played some cards, and then accompanied Grandma to church. Following the first hour of church, we said goodbye to Grandma [but not until after we pulled out Grandpa's cowboy hat and belt buckle and had Brad participate in a photo shoot with the Sasaparilla that we tried for the first time ] and headed our way up north with Mel and Bailey. Unfortunately, we couldn't take them the whole way and dropped them off in Cedar City. We had a fantastic, quick road trip and LOVED spending time with family.

How fun!! Keep taking advantage of these moments where you can pick up and leave for a quick trip! They become few and far between when kiddos are in the mix!

First of all, love the last picture of Brad; Hes got the schmolder. Spending time with Grandmas are some of the best memories, glad you guys were able to go down.
Love seeing all these pictures, especially since my battery died and I only got pictures while we were at Zion's the following week - can't believe we didn't plan all that a bit better :( Fantastic picture of Brad!
